Join celebrated author, editor and ULM Professor Emeritus of Biology, John Carr this coming Saturday, October 10th 9.00 AM, at Black Bayou Lake NWR Conservation Learning Center for a celebration of 30 years of his freshwater turtle research at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge!

The event will begin with an illustrated talk that will convey the adventures of his discovery journey, some key milestones, rarely seen views of these supremely adapted predators, the risks to their survival, and the importance of this magnificent natural heritage!

After the talk, at about 11 AM there will be a controlled release of ULM’s research hatchlings. Their return to the lake will be a further important boost to the native wild population!
