Research grade observations can be used by scientists in research projects and collaborative research! The web-based “desktop version” has more features and is useful for post-expedition work.

Birdnet app allows us to identify birds by sound. It uses localized “Bird Packs” for the most relevant data sets.
Golden Hour app identifies the time of best lighting for photography which also coincides with great times for wildlife observations.
Seek is used for quick wildlife identifications.
Merlin is a great app for identifying birds from photos and audio recordings and serves as a Bird Guide. It shares data with EBird. Ideally audio IDs should be matched with sightings and visual IDs.
