Q3 Members’ Meeting with Gypsy Hanks

We welcome all existing and past members, and interested members of the public to our Third Quarter Meeting 2026, where we will:

  • deliver news updates via a shortened Board of Directors’ meeting
  • hear about the fascinating life and work of US Fish & Wildlife Service Wildlife Biologist, Gypsy Hanks
  • walk and photograph wildlife on the wildlife trail

We welcome Gypsy Hanks to present on her work as a Wildlife Biologist at North Louisiana Refuges Complex in the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service where she has served for the past 28 years.

Prior to that, she received her Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Wildlife Science with an emphasis on Ornithology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University with a Minor in Forestry.

We hope that you can join us for education and fellowship and glorious autumnal scenery!

Where: Conservation Learning Center at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

When: October 18th, 3.00 PM – 5.00 PM

Things to bring: outdoor clothing, binoculars or camera, personal refreshments.
